Tickety-boo is a Worcestershire based homeware store and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and Fusion Mineral Paint specialist. They sell handmade and one-off creations, and take commissions from across the UK to transform old furniture into modern and unique pieces. They have been proud stockists of Annie Sloan Paint for 8 years, and are a centre of expertise offering workshops and training in a variety of skills and techniques.
Brand Identity & Web Design
They came to us with an existing brand, but an urgent need to enhance their visual identity. Tickety-boo had acquired new business premises and were relaunching after the lockdown caused by Covid-19. With a sign-writer already hired, and business cards almost printed, a very quick turnaround was needed to get any changes in place in time.
With such a short deadline, our priority was simplifying the logo whilst keeping the brand recognition that had been achieved from 8 years in business. The owners Dawn & Garry are really passionate about the service they offer, and we were careful to take their ideas on-board, and keep them involved in the design process.
It resulted in a streamlined logo, that kept the recognisable visual aspects of the original, whilst being clean and easy to read. We were able to liaise directly with the sign company to ensure the new style was adopted, and create updated business cards for quick production. All this was a great help to the owners who had plenty of other things to be concentrating on with a new shop to launch.
Existing content, reimagined...
Like the logo, Tickety-boo had an existing website which served them well, and just needed a quick refresh to bring it in-line with the new visual identity. We used their existing platform to update the visual style, ensuring it was mobile ready, and completely re-wrote the SEO for the site. It now looks great, and out-performs its predecessor for visitor numbers and engagement.
With Tickety-boo’s short deadline, and small budget, we were able to adapt our workflow to ensure they got the services they needed, within the time-frames they were restricted to. We have set up processes for the owners to create content themselves and be able to control their web and social media content, within guidelines and templates to make the production much more efficient.
