We were asked the other day if EN-TE ever plans to expand into an office space…
As a collective we all agreed we don’t see a need. Remote working is becoming increasingly popular, and for good reason. There are many benefits to working from home, including:
⚡️ Increased productivity: Studies have shown that remote workers are often more productive than their in-office counterparts. This is likely due to the fact that remote workers have fewer distractions and can work in a more comfortable environment (especially if you have a furry friend for company 🐶)
💻 Improved work-life balance: This was one of the biggest factors for us - more flexibility in schedules, we can trade commute time for more efficient (or joyful) activities and we can work wherever we have a laptop and internet connection, which so far has been anything from a lay-by in the Lake District to a coffee shop in London.
🧘🏽♀️Reduced stress: Remote working can help to reduce stress levels. As much as some people believe an office is good for feeding off of each other’s productivity, this is also the same for shared stresses and tense environments. Working in a more relaxed and comfortable environment whilst being able to communicate with others on your own terms can be very beneficial.
👌🏼 Increased employee satisfaction: Remote workers are often more satisfied with their jobs than their in-office counterparts. This is likely due to the fact that they have more flexibility and control over their work environment.
💷 Cost savings: Remote working saves money on office space, utilities, travel and other sundry expenses. Not to mention the environmental factors including reduced greenhouse gas emissions.
If you're considering making the switch, I would encourage you to give it a try!
